This brings me on to the part of actually advertising your product and starting to generate some sales which will help you make money online.

Advertising your business

This is also the same as advertising your product which is what makes your business. So, you now have your very own product and you are getting a few sales here and there through forums and other social methods of advertising. However, by sticking to just forums you are giving yourself a very small chance of growing and making money online therefore you need to experiment and ‘spread your wings’.

As we are looking to start an online business with minimal costs there are many ways of advertising and getting traffic for free. These methods work just as well as paying for your advertising. They may take a little more time in order for you to see results but what do you prefer? Spending lots of money and getting quick results (some of the time) or using free techniques and getting results over time? The topic of blogs and blog posting hasn’t really been mentioned lately so that is the next topic that we will be discussing. Blogs have taken over the internet over the past 5 years or so and the number of blog readers has crossed from the thousands into the hundred thousand mark so what does this mean? It’s simple. More readers results in more chances of your blog being seen which means more traffic and leads for your offline/online business. (As long as you have the right keywords, SEO etc). This article will offer YOU tips and advice on what to do when it comes to writing blog posts.

We all know an article should have an introduction, a main body and then the conclusion. That’s simple English, even my 8 year old brother knows that! However, there are some people who write articles/e-mail messages in one longggg paragraph and to be honest, for me personally, that is a big put off resulting in not even bothering to read what the person has wrote. With that said, let’s move onto the tips and advice part.

The title

This is the most important part when it comes to writing blog posts. It is the difference between someone reading your post and someone not reading it. It’s pretty straight forward no wonder there are programmes and products out there which tell you about ‘killer titles’ and what not. However, you should have a title that is straight to the point, relevant to the article and contains at least one keyword for SEO and search engine ranking purposes. Quality content

After the heading, this is the next crucial factor when it comes to writing blog posts. Everything needs to be relevant and tightly constructed which will make it easier for the reader. Stay on-point and don’t begin to talk about things that are not relevant to the topic.

Structure

This brings me onto the structure side of things. Your piece of writing won’t be tightly constructed and be easy to read if it is just one block paragraph consisting of 500 words! This will put many people off and as a result, you will only be harming yourself. If you put in the effort to write then put in 110% and not just 50%. To overcome this, you should include short paragraphs, sub-headings, bullet points and numbered posts within your article.

Outsourcing is something that many networkers may not be aware of but hopefully this article will clear that misconception and will actually benefit some people providing they implement on what they read. Outsourcing is something that is very easy to do and literally anyone can do it because it really is that simple! It can also help you in making a decent amount of money online depending on the amount of times you effectively use it.

What is outsourcing

For those that don’t know or aren’t yet aware of what outsourcing is, it is basically where you write articles for someone and then ask someone else to do most of the work for you! This may sound confusing or you may be thinking ‘what the hell?’ but allow me to explain a little more. Say for example, someone wants you to write 5 articles consisting of 500 words each and you charge $200. You then turn around and ask someone else to do most of the work meaning there will be someone out there who will charge you as little as $5-$10 per article.

So, let’s say you find a writer who will write the 5 articles for a total of $80 and you are happy with that price. You will then give them the task of writing those articles. When you get them back though, make sure you double check them to ensure there are no mistakes because you do not want to look unprofessional as this won’t create a very good impression. You will then send the writer his/her $80 and send the articles to the person who asked YOU to write for them and they will pay YOU the agreed price of $200. The end result? You make a profit of $120! Pretty sweet huh?! The more outsourcing you do, the more money you can make online. In yesterday’s article we covered the idea of bum marketing and what it is. The article also contained information on the reasons as to why people take this path and the advantages that come with it. This post however will follow-on from the first one and will explain in detail on the steps that were mentioned on how you can use bum marketing to make money online.

To recap, the steps were the following:

1) Find a market or business that has very little competition.
2) Look for a product within that market which comes with a good commission/affiliate plan.
3) Begin to write some articles on the product.
4) Submit your article to article directories such as ezine, goarticles, isnare and articlesfactory.

Finding a market with little competition

The most easiest and effective route to take here is to use Google as this IS the ‘king’ of search engines. You would need to enter a specific keyword or keyword phrase such as ‘lose weight’ or ‘building muscle’. However, if you type that in then the results for that will be endless resulting in a high number of links and that is NOT what we are looking for therefore in order to combat this, you should use Google’s keywords tool and enter the business name into the search box. Once the search has been completed, you will get a list of keywords which are related to what you typed into the box.

As we are looking for a market which as low competition, it would be a good idea to look for a keyword (out of the list) that has no more than 150 searches on a daily basis because the less competition = more chances of you gaining success with the product and making money off of it.

Looking for the right product

Once you have found the correct market, you would need to look for the right product and this can be done by using ClickBank. Nearly everyone knows what Twitter is but if you don’t then where have you been hiding lately?! So for those who don’t know, Twitter is a micro blogging site and can also be seen as a social media site as you can interact with other people from all over the world. The number of Twitter users is growing on a daily basis and why not? It is a great way to build your business whether that’s online or offline as well as being able to make relationships with other networkers which is what networking is about.

What is different about Twitter?

Twitter is in fact very different to the other social media sites that we are a part of. Yeah you can put your picture up, yeah you can talk to other people and yeah you can add/follow people but that is the difference. YOU decide who you want to follow and vice versa therefore making it easier to target a certain market or choose certain people within a business. For example if you search for the term ‘home based business’ a list of people will come up who are either in a home based business or ‘tweet’ about an home based business.

What NOT to do on Twitter

One thing you shouldn’t do whilst using Twitter (at least not straight away) is begin to sell something or tell people to buy this and that. You need to build both trust and credibility with your followers first before you decide to ‘pitch’ a sale and this is done by offering them value, something that will help them in building their business. Put others before yourself and the rewards will soon be seen. If you do offer value and good, solid information, it is more likely your site will get visitors which means more traffic and we all know what that means!
