If you have the time and know that you will put the effort in, you could write up a few newsletters and offer them to the public for free. Again, this could be done via posting through letter boxes or even handing them out at public events such as conventions, funfairs, concerts etc. Be sure to keep them short, sweet and to the point because you don’t want to bore the reader halfway through the opening paragraph.

Interviews

If you have contacts in the media industry or know people that can get you onto the radio or even television then by all means get on there and let your voice be heard! We all know that thousands of people tune in to the radio on a daily basis and even more watch television. As a result of this, you already know that before you are even on-air people will be listening/watching and they may be interested in what you have to offer. This could very well be a great way of getting exposure and growing your home based business.

Overall, advertising and promotion are seen as being the most important factors when it comes to running and succeeding in any business, whether that be home based or not. Moreover if you combine the two (online and offline) then you may get better results and a faster growth rate but that is something that I can't guarantee because it depends on you and the approach that you take. Running a home based business or any business in general cannot be done successfully without advertising or promotion. That’s just the way it is. Advertising is seen as the root of success which helps the business grow just like how the sunlight and water helps a plant grow. This post then will contain information on advertising, the types of advertising you can do and the different advertising techniques you can utilise within the various types of advertising fields.

Types of advertising

There are two types of advertising that you can do when it comes to running a home based business and these are online and offline. Both of these are very different and I’m sure you too can see that by just reading the titles. Furthermore, both of these fields have their own unique styles of advertising/promotion that you can take advantage of and as a result, grow your online business. However just remember, if a couple of advertising techniques do not work for you then don't just give up. Try a different approach and see how that works for you. Never give up. I will be posting some online methods that you can use to advertise your business below in quite some detail so the offline methods will be posted soon in a different part as this will make it easier for you read.

Online advertising

The first type of advertising that you can try out is called online advertising. This is the approach that most people take including myself because it works as long as you know how to conduct it. Remember, if something works for you then I’d advise you to stick to it no matter what. People may tell you about other ways of advertising for your business which has worked really well for them but that don’t mean it will also work for you; different things will work for different people. So if you are already using a certain method and it is producing good results for you, then just stick to that and if possible try improving on it which as a result could also increase your business’s exposure leading to more growth and ultimately more money! Different techniques for advertising online

PPC also known as Pay-Per Click

This is probably by far the most effective and most useful way to advertise your business and achieve both growth and money. This advertising technique is used by hundreds or even thousands of online networkers and marketers because it is very successful and can greatly help you and your business. It has one drawback though and that being it is also rather costly so think before you take this approach.

Blogging

Using a blog is another effective way of advertising or promoting your business opportunity. This is a very good method because not only is it free, but it is also effective as long as you are consistent most of the time. You won’t get hundreds of new customers/sign-ups in a week or even a month and more because blogging takes time but if you have the right keywords along with good content your well on your way. Blogspot is a good place to start if you would like to create your very own blog.

SEO also known as Search Engine Optimization

This can boost your results quite a lot. This goes hand-in-hand with the above point about creating your own blog and using the right keywords with good, solid content. This is crucial because if you do have the right keywords in your blog posts, your site could be ranked a lot higher in the search engine’s results in comparison to you not using relevant keywords therefore giving your site more exposure which could lead to more sign-ups.

Classified ads

Writing classified ads is another way of advertising online. There are loads of sites out there that you can post your ads on which will get read by people around the world. Not every single person may read and take action, but there is a possibility that some will here and there. This also takes time and effort as you will have to be consistent and post your ads on a regular basis. Don’t let that put you off though because in the long run you will get results if you stick to it.

E-mail marketing

E-mail marketing is used by many marketers to spread the word and get customers. However, be sure NOT to spam when it comes to this because it is possible that you could be removed from a business especially if you are an affiliate. Moreover, building your very own e-mailing list could prove to be very beneficial for you and your business. A series of free newsletters for a limited time could be a good way to start things off.

Forums

Forums can also come quite in handy if you would like to get more customers providing you don’t go to some random forum and start posting/spamming the place! I would advise you to first slowly begin to know the people on there and start to build a relationship with them so they gain your trust. Once you have reached that level then start pitching your business opportunity. You maybe surprised at the results you’ll get by doing this!

Banner ads

Banners can also be used to advertise your business or business opportunity. Although these may not be used as much they can still be very useful in getting you potential customers who may end up becoming money-making customers! Animated banners can be placed anywhere on a website and can also be rather eye-catching to the reader because of the colour and animation. Moreover, they are a quick and effective way to build your home business and do not take long at all to add.

In conclusion, online advertising can be very effective as well as lucrative providing you know how and where to do it. I’m sure that if you follow what I have said above you will get results but remember YOU get out what you put in. Moreover, try out different methods and see which one works the best. Don’t quit while you’re ahead just because one or two may not work. Give it some time and see what happens. Remember, experimentation can be the key to success.

Anyone who is running a home based business or is into network marketing, networking, MLM or just running an online business, know how important leads are. When it comes to running a business via the internet, leads are seen as the foundation of succeeding and the difference between success and failure. This information is mainly targeted to those who are new to network marketing but if you are an experienced networker, then you too can check it out because you never know this information could also benefit you.

Everyone who is running a home based business or any other online business are aware that without leads you are accustomed to failure. To those who are new however, leads are basically people who are interested in your business opportunity. You’ll know this because they may ask you about it or enter their contact details in one of your capture pages or even reply to an ad therefore they can be seen as being potential customers. Additionally, every lead is different, some may not succeed whereas others may be really successful but either way, make sure you stay in contact with them especially if they join your business and become a part of your team.

Why are leads important?

As I mentioned above, without leads the chances of you succeeding are near impossible. This is because you won't be getting any customers which means your business won't grow and as a result, you won't be making any money! That is why it is vital that you contact the lead (potential customer) as soon as you can and start to build a relationship with them. Networking isn't just about making money guys; it's about making relationships with those who join you and then ensuring that you keep in regular contact. By doing this it shows that you are serious about your business and you care about the people who are a part of your team. This in return builds trust and that can go a long way.

So what do I do with a lead?

This may seem like a stupid question but believe me guys it isn't because the fact is, not many people know what to actually do when it comes to leads. I have spoke to a few people who have told me that their sponsor hasn't helped them out and doesn't keep in contact or anything! This is just the thing that leaves many new marketers feeling alone and maybe even confused and as a result, when they don't achieve success they tend to quit! YOU cannot afford this to happen because every lead is a potential money-making customer. With that said, I have created a list of the things that you should do and this can be seen below:

Firstly, the obvious thing to do is to contact them. However, do NOT begin to rant about your business or try to sell them something. It’s all in the approach guys and if you take the correct approach, they could end up becoming a proper customer and contributing to building your business. With that said, just briefly introduce yourself and welcome them making them feel comfortable.



Secondly, ask them if they have any questions about your business and whether you can help them or if you have any, offer them some advice about the business or the industry in general. Remember, do NOT sell them anything yet or give them a sales pitch! If they ask about the business then by all means tell them but give them time to think and then make a decision. They wouldn't be a lead in the first place if they weren't interested in what you had to offer.

Thirdly, in relation to the two points above, if you follow what I have told you and take that approach, then this shows your leads that you are in a position of power meaning you know what you’re talking about and you know how to offer help and advice which as a result, could make them come to you because they trust you and at the end of the day this is what you really want. Why? Well because if any new opportunities arise and you need to build a team, they are more likely to join you and help you build both your business and a load of money.

In conclusion, leads then are a crucial part of networking and running an online business. They are the difference between success and failure. If you help them out and keep in regular contact, this will not only build a relationship but also strengthen it. If you do not keep in contact or answer questions, then you could lose that lead or even customer which means you will be losing out on business growth and money. Creating and maintaining a relationship is the key to success.

With the current amount of fast food outlets and take away places it's no surprise that many people are getting overweight or obese and then by the time they realise, they think it's too late to lose fat and that it will be difficult. However, it is never too late to lose body fat and go back to how you once were or even better! It all depends on you and your body therefore with that said here are a few tips and personal advice on how to lose fat. Before I go into that though I won't just be talking about diet and exercise! I’ll be offering other tips besides these which also contribute to the fat loss process so please don't think the obvious.

We all know that if you ask someone ‘how do I lose fat?’ they'll say go on a diet and start some exercise. That will most likely be the response. These two things aren’t the only factors that will help you in losing fat though. There are also many other points that need to be taken into consideration and these are listed below:

1) Weight training is very important if you want to lose fat. This is because if your body has more muscle or if you are 'ripped', your metabolism level will increase meaning the fat burning process will be a lot quicker.

2) As we all know, cardio also known as cardiovascular exercise is a necessity if you want to lose fat. Make sure these sessions are intense and that you push your body. You won't really get anywhere if you stay in your comfort zone and do your workouts like they are a ‘walk in the park.’

3) When it comes to losing weight/fat your goals need to be realistic. Don’t aim/expect to lose a stone a week because that just won't happen. Personally, I would say you should be aiming to lose around one maybe even two pounds a week. In the end, it adds up so don't think that amount is too small.



4) You should also have a day where you eat whatever you want. This is also known as a 'cheat day' as some people would say. Some of you maybe thinking, 'well how is that going to help me lose fat?' By doing this, you are rewarding yourself for the hard work you've done so far and you are also motivating yourself, giving yourself an idea of what it will be like once you have lost the weight you've aimed to.

5) Another crucial factor to losing fat is drinking water. This is very important because it is the best way to keep your body hydrated, it is the best way to help your body in releasing toxins and other things within the body and it also aids the fat burning process.

6) Fat burning supplements can also be very effective when used in conjunction with a consistent exercise routine and a good diet plan. Before you start taking these though, ensure that do your research and if you’re still unsure, ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice as they will know a lot more and help you in making a decision.

7) Another way to motivate yourself and lose fat is to picture yourself in say 6 months or even a year’s time. Picture the way that you want to be and the body that you want. This will help if you are tempted to ‘cheat’ on a ‘non cheat day’ and will aid you in sticking to your diet and exercise regime.

There you go guys and girls! They are just a few tips besides the obvious of how to lose fat and be a lot fitter and healthier. Furthermore, the chances of you living longer are also more likely if you are not overweight or obese. Lastly, DON’T give up if you don’t see success at 1st! It won’t take 6 months to lose 2-3 years of body fat so don’t give in. You CAN do it and it is NOT impossible.
