Which affiliate programme should I join?

There are loads of affiliate programmes, online businesses and home based business opportunities on the internet. Everyday something new seems to be coming out which is described as being ‘the next big thing’ or the best online business in the past 5 years or so. No wonder many business affiliates fail online because they move on from one business to another like there is no tomorrow!

This is one of the biggest problems that internet marketers face therefore in order to succeed don’t join every new business opportunity that comes your way. That was just a quick tip. However, moving on, below are a few reasons as to what you should consider before joining any affiliate programme or online business.

The price

This is probably one of the very first things that goes through the mind of someone before deciding to join a home based business or any other online affiliate programme (myself included)! It’s natural, that’s just the way it is. The internet is full of businesses that are completely free to join and won’t cost you a single penny but in order to earn, you need to learn. So it would be a good idea to join an online business that helps you set the foundation and get the ball rolling.

How deep it is

This basically means how deep is the pay? 1 level? 2 levels? 3 maybe? The deeper the level, the better it is for you because that way when your downline sign people up, you will also get paid! This is 1 reason as to why building a list and maintaining relationships is a must in network marketing. Online businesses such as GDI and GVO give you the chance to make a lot of money online as they are 5 levels deep!



Commission payments

This is another crucial factor that you should take into consideration before joining any online business or affiliate programme. Many products/programmes give you a wide range of commission payments. Some higher than others. It would therefore be a good idea to promote or become part of a business which offers you at the very least 20-30% of the total commission payment. Some even pay out 50%, 75% and even 100%

The sign-up rate

This is also called the ‘conversion rate’. It is a known fact that many people will NOT sign up to what you offer straight away. It will take around 4-5 attempts before they decide to take action and join your online business or affiliate programme. Furthermore, many people will read something and then not take action therefore if the product or business has a high conversion rate, then that is a plus as it will be easier for you to sign up people and as a result, make commissions.

They are just four factors that you should think about before joining any online business or affiliate programme. Many people will join a home based business but then after regret it (to an extent) because they are not happy with something and they say to themselves ‘if only I did more research’. Being quick in affiliate marketing may cost you, so research into any online business or affiliate programme is a must.
