5 mistakes that bloggers make

Starting a blog is the easy part. Staying focused and ensuring consistency is the difficult part and that is where many people tend to fail or fall behind on. A blog is a great way of advertising your online business or even making money online but the way you run it also contributes to the amount of success and even failure that you may see. This article will contain 5 mistakes that bloggers make and how this will reduce their chances of making money on the internet. 5 mistakes that hopefully you can and will avoid if you want to grow your business.

Inconsistency

This is one reason as to why many bloggers and business affiliates fail when it comes to making money online. Consistency is very crucial in everything when it comes to network marketing or building your online business. This is because if you are not consistent with your posts or advertising, you will get less traffic by the day and as a result, your leads will decrease and you won’t make any money whatsoever.

A lack of value

This is another thing that many marketers are struggling with. Most of their posts are all sale posts and this puts the reader off. They are so ‘obsessed’ with making money that they don’t offer real value in their articles. Furthermore, being impatient is another reason as to why there are no valuable posts amongst the ones that talk about selling. Try to balance it out or have more helpful posts giving advice instead of sales pitches.

Unorganised information

This basically means that you have so many banners, flashing icons and what not that it takes a long time for your page/blog to load. This is a big drawback because people may get put off and as a result, won’t bother to wait for the page to load meaning your online business opportunity won’t get viewed. To overcome this, only use things that you need. The idea of a blog is to attract readers with solid, valuable information and not with flashing colors and pretty content!

Having unnecessary content

If your blog is business orientated, then you shouldn’t really be talking about your personal life. Save that for a separate blog or something. Your readers will be interested in a product or some advice that you want to get across and as harsh as it sounds, if you are talking about your personal life instead of something that will help them, they are likely to leave. So, stay on topic and be relevant.

Not enough detailed content

As stupid as this may sound, there may be some people who talk about an online business opportunity but they do this very briefly. If you are talking about a business then it is better to go into detail and offer your readers as many advantages and benefits of the service as possible. The more detailed your articles are, the better.

So, in conclusion the above are five mistakes that bloggers, affiliates and network marketers tend to make when it comes to running and maintaining their own business blog. If you avoid these five mistakes, then it is more likely that your number of visitors will increase as well as your business leads which as a result, increases your chances of making money online.

Thanks for the article. I think the inconsistency is the biggest problem I face, at least on my own personal blog, and I think it's probably the biggest problem for most people too.

Do you have any tips for people who are trying to improve their blogging?
