Tips on posting in forums

Around a week ago an article was posted which contained information on forums and how they can help in growing your home based business. The fact that that was done and the article was successfully published makes it much easier to move on to the next forum related topic. This revolves around tips on forum posting, what to do and what not to do when it comes to forums and some other general information that can be helpful to any networker or marketer.

When it comes to posting in forums, there is a lot more to do than you think. It’s not just about what you write and what business opportunity that you have for the people. It’s also about the way you are and the way you present yourself to others who also use the same forum. If you are seen in a positive manner, it can take you a long way in growing your business and making money in comparison to say if you was seen in a negative way, therefore making this kind of thing similar to a first impressions kind of concept. Moreover, it’s about being a part of the community and helping others in succeeding and only then will you be seen as a valuable member, a trusted person and a successful business owner/affiliate.

What to do in forums

One of the first things that you have to ensure is that you introduce yourself and let everyone else know who you are. This doesn’t have to be no essay or your story. Just something like “Hi my name is (your name) I’m new to this forum so I thought I’d introduce myself and see how your all doing?” Just something along those lines. Keep it short and sweet.

If you are talking about a domain hosting business for example then make sure you STICK to that business. Ensure that when you are writing or discussing something, you stay on point and you don’t begin to drift elsewhere.

Think before you act. This is also an important factor when it comes to posting or advertising in forums. Don’t waste your own time or other people’s time by posting information that is irrelevant or unnecessary. If you are in a business related forum which is about health and fitness, then why would you post a new topic on music?

What not to do in forums

You’ve probably heard this/read it everywhere and you will read it again here. DO NOT SPAM! There is no need to repetitively post about the same thing over and over. You won’t be doing yourself any favours and you certainly won’t be helping those that are around you who very well could be your potential customers.

This is related to the 2nd point above. Don’t move in between various businesses or start talking about fitness and exercise if your post relates to a clothing business! Some people actually do this and believe me; it really does put some people off which reduces your chances of business growth.

These are the main points that you need to take into consideration when it comes to advertising or promoting your business via forums. If you stick to these then it will definitely help you in the long run in terms of both business and yourself. Lastly, it will also show others around you that you can be trusted and this is a main trait that everyone needs when it comes to network marketing.
