Using Twitter to build your home based business

Over the past few years many social media websites have emerged ranging from Facepic and Faceparty to Bebo and Hi5 and now Facebook to Twitter. There are also many others in between such as MySpace and even YouTube along with some others but these are the main ones. The question now is how long will it be before something else hits the scene and takes the internet industry by storm? Social media then plays a huge role when it comes to building your home based business whilst working online. However, one site that is taking over right now is Twitter.

Social media is an online advertising technique which gives you a great opportunity to spread the word about your business and the services it has to offer. This is because there are hundreds of thousands of people out there who could very well be your potential customers. Moreover, it is also these customers who will grow your business and put money into your bank accounts! Facebook alone has over two million users itself so imagine the total amount of people if you combined all the social media websites together! Not everyone may join your business or even show an interest but this is where patience comes in. Today’s topic relates to social media but will specifically be aimed at Twitter and Twitter users. Twitter is blowing up day by day and their members are also increasing. How do you know this some of you may be thinking or asking yourself? Well all you got to do is take a look around because personally wherever I look for something Twitter is mentioned. On facebook twitter is mentioned in many people’s statuses. I get emails from traffic exchange sites regarding twitter. Moreover and most importantly the main reason as to why I know its blowing up is because there are now programmes available to the networking and MLM world that will grow your twitter downline by that I mean followers. In addition to this, people are also creating automated systems that will automatically make more people follow you and vice versa.

Additionally, I have also seen advertisements about making money by using twitter! It’s funny how whenever something new hits the internet, someone somewhere comes up of a way to make money from it. Whether it is a scam or not I do not know because I haven't used these kinds of programmes. However, Twitter is and possibly will be for quite some time to come the next big thing on the internet when it comes to building your home based business and gaining leads.

How can I use Twitter then to build my business?

The more followers you have on Twitter, the better it is. This is because when you decide to 'tweet' all of the people you are following and those that are following you, will be able to see what you 'tweeted' (wrote as your status). With that said, there is no harm in mentioning your business opportunity with the link right from the start as your tweet because you never know, one or two people may end up following you because of that and therefore will show an interest in what you have to offer. So basically, make sure you have a lot of followers and vice versa, this is the main way of presenting your opportunity via Twitter.
